JOHN FISHER
John passed away in July 2012, from a stroke. John was the Sarnia Refinery Manager and former Montreal Refinery Manager, John was liked by all employees. You could find John
in all parts of the refinery and chemical plant on any day of the week.
John had a big impack on many people who worked with him during his time in
Sarnia. our condolences go to his wife Margerie.
AL POOLE :
Al Poole age 50 , who was working at SMC and passed away on Thursday November 1,
2012.
Al worked as a Instrument Mechanic in the maintanence dept. Al was the son of Grenville
and Joan Poole.
RICHARD (DICK) PERRY
Dick Perry, Age 74, passed away at the Bluewater Health Centre on Thursday October 27, 2011. Dick was a retiree of Shell
and had worked at several jobs, his last being supervisor of the Fire and Security Dept.
Dick, left a wife, Gloria and three children, Julie Ann, Janice, and Jeff. Dick was a sports enthusiast and a member
of the YMCA.
Gregory Creighton Crockford
Greg died on October 1, 2001 at the age of 61.He was a sportsman and participated in shotput and discus at the Deaf
Olympics in Sweden and Yugoslavia also playing football with the Sarnia Golden Bears. Greg worked as a Pipefitter/Welder
while at Shell for the last thirty years. Greg leaves behinh his wife Susan and three children, Daniel Chester, and Chelsea.
He was a large man but frendly to all, he also love playing golf.
JOHNSTON LYLE
Lyle, age 74 passed away on Friday May 27 2011 at the
LHSC University Hospital in London.
Predeceased by his wife Hazel (2005). Loving father of Brad and Stephen and partner of Margaret Trudelle.
Lyle worker in the refinery as a Engineer in the steam plant.
Lyle was buried in the Fernhill Cemetry , Saint john NB.
ROUND, JOHN DAVID (chemical plant)
John, age 68, passed away on March 12, 2011, in Lakeland Florida. Husband of first wife Nancy and 2nd
wife Reva (johnson). Father of two girls, Kimberly and Jacqueline, and step father to Michelle and Fred.
John was a team coordinater at the Chemical Plant.
CHALMERS, DIANNE ELIZABETH
On March 1, 2011, Diane age 79, passed away at the Universitry Hospital in London.
Diane was married to the late Lloyd Chalmers (2006). Diane was a public school teacher in Sarnia for many years and was mother
to three children, Sussan, Craig and Carol.
SMITH, MARY LOU
Mary, age 76, passed away at the St. Joseph's Hospice on December 31, 2010.
Wife of Ralph for 56 years and mother to two children, Tenley and Tracy. Mary was a professional ice scater and
and later became founding and executive member of the Sarnia Figure Skating Club.
Mary was also a long term employee of Bell Canada and Petrosar.
MOTT, RUBY ELIZABETH
Ruby, age 92, passed away December 24th 2010
at the Bluewater Health Centre. Ruby was the wife of the late Guy Mott. Guy passed
away in January 2006. Ruby retired from Imperial Oil in 1981.
RUST, IRENE CAROLINE
Irene, age 91, passed away December 22, 2010.
Irene was the wife of the late Herbert Rust (2008).
Irene was a avid painter, she leaves two sons.
PEARSON-FREDERICK JAMES (FRED)
Fred, age 75, passed away December 10, 2010, at the Bluewater Health Centre
in Sarnia.
Fred retired from Shell in 1994 after 34 years serbvice. Fred is survived by
his wife Mary, they were maried for 49 years, and had two sons Mike and Mark
and their families. Interment of ashes at Resurrection Cemetery .
THORPE- PATRICA LYNN
Pat, age 65, died on Tuesday November 9th at the Vision Nursing Home where she was
a resident for 6 1/2 years.
Pat is survived by her husband Alan (chemical plant) and their three children SDtuart,
Sara, and Lindsay.
SKAM, BRYAN JOHN (Chemical Plant)
Bryan, age 69 died on Wednesday October 6 at the St Joseph's Hospice.
Bryan was a team member at the Basell Chemical Plant.
Bryan is survived by his wife Judy and two daughters.
Mahoney, Mike (Chemical Plant)
Mike, a lifelong resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday July 18, 2010, at
the age of 56.
Mike was a member of "B" team while working in the Chemical Plant. He is survived
by his wife Sally and one child Chris. After working at Basell he open and ran a wine shot in Wallaceburg for a short
period of time.
LANCASTER ROBERT (BOB) NASH
Bob, age 81, died at the University Hospital London Ont. on Friday June 11, 2010.
Predeseased by 51 days by his wife
Rayleneon April 21, 2010. Survived by their
three children and 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Bob worked in the pumping dept. at the Refinery.
SEXTON, ROBERT FREEMAN
Robert, age 66, passed away at the Sarnia Bluewater Health Centre Norman
St site on May 27, 2010.
Robert and Patricia had been married for 45 years.
Robert is survived by his wife Patricia one son one daughter and 6 grandchildren.
BEDDALL, WILLIAM DUDLEY ( BILL)
Bill age 93, died at the C.E.E. Hospital Continuing Care in Petrolia on
February 28, 2010. Bill worked as a millwright during his years at the refinery. Bill was the husband of the late Pauline
Bedall (1993) and is survived by his two sons Peter and Jeffery.
Simon, Daniel P.
Daniel, age 57, died at home on Wednesday Feb 3, 2010. Dan was employeed at
the S.M.C. for 32 years and worked in the process#2 area.
Dan was Co-Chair of the Health and Safety committee at Shell, was an instructor with
the Workers Health and Safety Centre of Sarnia, andd recorfding secretary for the Petro-Chemical Forum.
He is survived by his wife Deborah and two sons.
McClean Thomas John (Jack)
Jack, age 81, passed away at the Bluewater Health Centre Mitton St site on Jan 6,
2010.
Jack was a staff electrical engineer in the refinery. Jack and his wife
spent several winters on Maui island, he was also a member of Sarnia Golf Club.
He is survived by his wife Ruth and children.
Crawford, Raymond Allan (Ray)
Ray, age 80, died Tuesday January 5, 2010 at the Bluewater Health
Centre Mitton St Site.
Ray is survived by his wife Pauline and several children.
He worked in the Chemical plant and retired as a Shell employee.
Ray was an active member of the triple "C" Carvers Club. Bill and Pauline
travelled though several countries after retirement.
Eveson William Eugene (Bill)
Bill, age 77, died at the St. Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia on January
5, 2010. Bill is survived by his wife Laura and several children.
Bill retired from Shell Refinery about 1991. He played baseball
in the Seniorr's League at Clearwater Park and also enjoyed playing card at the V.I.P. Centre in the Bayside Mall.
Anthony, Dell (Tony) (Shell and Basell)
Tony, age 55, died at the LHSC on December 5, 2009. Tony worked for 20
years in the Chemical plant. Tony loved camping, fishing, and boating.
He is survived by his wife Kathy and one son and four daughters.
BRIAN EDWARDSON
Brian, age 55, died at the Bluewater Health Centre on Thursday December
3rd 2009.
Brian worked for Shell as a Millwright and other positions.
He was a baseball and a hockey coach with the SMAA, a referee with
the Sarnia Referees Association, and a dedicated Old Flyer hockey team member.
Bryan is survived by his wife Linda and their
three children.
BARBARA DELL
After a long battle with cancer, Barbara age 79, passed away on Tuesday
August 11 2009.
Barbara and Dave where active in sailing and travelling, and could be seen
riding their two person bicycle around Sarnia. Barbara death was just short of their 57 wedding anniversary.
LESLIE ROBERT LONG
Les, age 75, passed away Friday August 7th, 2009. Les worked in the maintance
dept. as a crane operator and retireed after 35 years service. He was maried to his wife Rosalee for 54 years and had three
sons and one daughter.
MCRAE, GRAHAM
Graham, age 78 passed away at the Bluewater Health Centre, Wednesday July 1, 2009.
Greham worker in the maintenance dept at the refinery before retiring. He left a
wife, Frances and two daughters.
WILLIAM RONALD CLEAVE (BILL)
Bill age 54 passed away on Thursday February 5, 2009.
Bill was an avid hockey fan and played hockey for many years.
OAKES, MARJORIE FLORENCE
Marjorie, age 70, passed away on Monday June 29, 2009. Marjorie
was predeceased by her husband Harry.
RONALD BAINBRIDGE (RON)
Ron, age 77, passed away on Thursday May 28, 2009 at the Bluewater Health-Mitton Street site.
Ron at one time served with the Governor's
Horse Guard in Toeonto. Ron was also a member of the Fourth DegreeKnights of Columbus.
Ron worked as a stationary engineer and work mostly at the steam plant until he retired. Ron was married
to his wife Betty for 53 years and was in good health for the last few years. Our condolences go out to his wife Betty and
their family.
WALTER PRICHARD (Chemical Plant)
Walter, age 53, passed away at the Bluewater Health Mitton Street Site.
Walter started out as a process worker in the Chemical Plant before leaving. He is survived by his Parents
and his brother and sister.
Brian Thomas Jennings
Brian, age 56, passed away March 10, unexpectedly at his home. Brian worked in the
lab, in process and finally in the Maintanence Dept. Survived by many family members.
McClemont, Jeanette Marie (Jan)
Jeanette, age 79, wife of Micheal McClemont died at the Palliative Care Unit
of the Bluewater Health Center Norman St Site on March 13, 2009. Jeanette and Micheal were married for 57
years having three sons.
Greg, William Edward (Bill)
Bill was not a Shell employee but work for Cataytic Construction.
Bill, age 86, died Friday March 6, 2009 at the Bluewater Health Palitive Care centre in Sarnia.
During his lifetime he was a police officer in Dresden a farmer in Moore Township and worked as a labourer
with 36 years service in Shell. Bill's son Jim is presently working at Shell.
CLEAVE, WILLIAM RONALD (BILL)
Bill, age 54, died at his home on Thursday February 6, 2009. Bill worked as
a day supervisor with the transfer pumphouse group.
Bill was a avid hockey fan and also played hockey for many years. He is suvived by
his companion Vickie May.
GORMLEY, JAMES "JOE"
Joe, age 83, died at the Vision Nursing Home Sarnia on Thursday January
29, 2009. Joe was a veteran of WWll where he served with the Royal Canadian Navy. Joe is survived by his wife Fern.
Joe worked in the pumping dept. and retired after 33 years service.
ATKINSON, JOHN "JACK" HODGSON
Jack, age 74 died at his home, with his daughters present, on Wednesday January 21,
2009. Predeceased by his wife Margaret (2001). Jack volunteered with the Sarnia Victims Service and was a member of the Navy
Club and Salvation Army. Jack retired from Basell where he was a process team member.
MINIOU, FRANCOIS JOSEPH "FRANK"
Frank, age 67, pass away at the Bluewater Health-Norman Street site on
Sunday December 21, 2008. Frank had retired from Shell after 20 years service. Frank is survived by his wife Darlene
and two children.
RANKIN, WILLIAM JOHN (BILL)
Bill age 73, passed away on Monday October 13, 2008 at the Bluewater Health
Centre Norman St site.
Bill is survived by his wife Fay and two Children.
Bill worked at the Bassel Chemical plant until he retired.
Herbert Conrad Rust (Herb)
Herb age 79 passed away September 22, 2008. Herb moved from Germany in 1952 and married his wife in 1957.
Herb worked at Shell Canada in both the refinery and chemical plant for 37 years.
He was a volunteer with Petrolia Discovery and a member of the south west wood lot owners.

Doug, age 79 passed away at the Bluewater Health Mitton St Site
on Tuesday July 1st 2008.
Doug is survived by his wife Joyce and two children. One son Randy predeceased
Doug.
Doug worked in both process and the maintence Dept. the last as a millwright.
Cecil Howard Hannan
Cecil was an operator on # 1 crude unit and left to work at the Imperial Oil Refinery. He served with the
royal Canadian Navy during the second world war.
Cecil age 81 died on Friday July 11, 2008.
Our condolences go to his wife Jean and their family.

Jim a former "A" team member in the Chem Plant, age 64, died on July 7, 2008 at the Victoria Hospital in London. Jim had a long battle with lymphoma. Our condolences
go out to his former wife Linda and their children.

Robert McLachlan (Bob)
Bob age 78, passed away on April 10, 2008 at the Sarnia Bluewater Health centre (Palitive care) on
Norman St.
Bob is survived by his wife Ruth and three sons.
Bob worked for Canadian Oil and Shell for 36 years both in the refinery and chemical plant. His final job
was coordinator of the maintenance group.

Bob, age 83, passed away at the Bluewater Health Center April 3, 2008. Bob worked as a stationery engineer
and worked most of the time at the steam plant before retiring.
Bob was in the navyt during the II world war and spent time excourting ships to and from England.
Bob was predeceased by his first wife Dorthy Gertrude.
Beloved husband of Yvonne Eileen.
He is survived byhis three children his second wife Yvonne and his three children.

Bill, age 74 died on Friday March 28, 2008 at the Bluewater Health Palliative
Care center. Bill was a long time employee of Both Canadian Oil and Shell Canada, and worked in both Chemical Plant and
Refinery.
Bill was a graduate of McGill Univercity and also played with the Sarnia Golden Bears.

THOMMAS WILLIAM DAVIDSON
Tom age 74, died at his residence on Monday October 29. Husband of Shirley and father
to four children. Tom was a maintenance worker at Shell before retiring.
Tom was involved in the City Dart League and
junior bowlers. Tom was also a long time member of the Marcin Sunday Morning
Mens League.

LESLIE EARL CHALMERS
Les age 86 died August 6th 2007 ( on his birthday) in the Palliative Care Unit
at the Bluewater Health Center. Les was a veteran
on WWII and retired from Shell as a Operator on #1 Crude Unit. He was predeceased by his first wife Sue and survived by his
second wife Margaret and three children.
VANDEVENNE, GERARD DESIRE
Gerard age 92, died at the Bluewater Health C.E.E. Site on March 28, 2007. Gerard
has been retired from the Refinery for 30 years, where he worked as a pipefitter. Gerard had moved back to Sarnia about
a year ago. Gerard's first wife Mary died in 1974 and his second wife also Mary died in 2007. He is survived by several daughters
and grandchildren.
NATALIE PIERZCHALSKI
Natalie age 68 died on Sunday February 25th at the Norman St site of the Bluewater
Health centre. She is survived by her husband George and their three children.
FRANCES ALBERTA MACKENZIE
Frances, age 81, died on December 6 2006 at the Bluewater Health Centre Mitton
St. Site. She is survived by her husband Douglas and their children..

Lloyd age 75 died in The Bluewater Health Norman st site on August 4, 2006. Lloyd
retireed from Shell after 42 years service in the laboratory Dept. He was a member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling club. and
both golfed and curled while a member. Lloyd left a wife Diane and three children.
VICTOR WILLIAM GEORGE ARNOLD:
Vic, age 83, died at the Marshall Gowland Manor on Sunday June 25, 2006.
Vic was born December 19, 1922 in Midland ont. and served in the ww ll in an Army Hospital in Ontario. He retired from Shell
Refinery as Head of the E&S Dept. He was a member of the Sarnia Golf Club and played there until his health changed.
He was one of the first treasurer for S.O.A.R. Vic is survived by his wife Carolyn and daughters.

YEAR. FRANK HAD BEEN A SECURITY GUARD AT THE REFINERY WHEN HE RETIRED AFTER 33 YEARS SERVICE. FRANK ALSO SERVER IN THE TROIS
RIVIERE REGIMENT, IN WW2, AS A TROOPER AND WAS WOUNDED WHILE IN ITALY.
HANS PETER LODBERG: DIED ON TUESDAY MARCH 9, 2005, IN HIS 85 YEAR, AT
ST. JOSEPH'S MANOR IN ELLIOT LAKE. PETER MOVED TO CANADA FROM DENMARK IN 1951, AND WORKED AS AN ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN FOR
